Helmet ordered

Posted by Silver

I have today ordered the helmet that was liked by most people among the available choices — the gray AGV Dragon. I thought I don’t see the helmet when wearing it anyway, so I might as well try and match it with the others’ taste!

I am expecting to have it shipped within two weeks. Let’s see how that rolls!

Next wave of purchases: Helmet

Posted by Silver

I’m planning my next wave of major purchases.

And I am going to kick it with a new helmet — I desperately need to change my current Lazer helmet.

Lazer Tempo

Lazer Tempo

Most importantly, it is already around 5 years old (and helms do need to be replaced every 3 years as they lose their protective capabilities); it’s a cruiser helmet (I want something more streetfigher-fitting with my CBF500) and it’s a Lazer (I want a better brand).

I contacted my dear local dealer and here are the options they offered:

$290

$290

$290

$290

$320

$320

$320

$320

My heart currently goes with the first option, as it looks very stylish to me (besides having a great pilot look!).. However I am not sure how would it actually look on my wonderful head, so at times the more conservative options number 3 and 4 look ‘safer’ to order.

Oh, and agv is awesome!

My CBF500

My motorcycle – the awesome Honda CBF500 on the road from Tsakhkadzor to Bjni.

The short trip to Tsakhkadzor on the free Friday was amazing, and an extensive post will follow, but here is something for those who can’t wait to see stuff.

First Wash, First Rain

Posted by Silver

Took the bike to a wash this morning, as the day was bright and the bike was dirty. The guy did a professional job and asked for 1000 drams. I paid double. He promised to do a spectacular job next time.

Made a new purchase:

Powerpuff Girls Helmet

Just as I was sitting at the office and crawling about credit card processing problems, the rain rushed in — I do believe there’s an Armenian Murphy’s law about a relation between washing vehicles and precipitation! On the positive side, enjoyed some nice rain ride and figured that I miss tripping in the wild.

On Saturday I’m planning to hit Geghard as the first trip on this bike.

Trip: Yerevan - Garni - Goght

Let’s see how that goes.

And yeah, guess I’ll need to wash the bike again.

All Finished

Posted by Silver

I have got my License Plate and gave the final cash to the Honda store. The only two things that remain now are screwing the plate into the back of my bike and closing the loan, which I assume is going to take around 9 months (yes, it’s like having a baby!)

Oh yeah, and my new plate reads: 0434 APA. Bummers.

Welcome

Posted by Silver

The Motorcycle presents you a challenge to master the machine, a challenge to adventure. You ride through the wind, linked to the road by a vehicle that responds to your commands as no other does. Unlike an automobile, there is no metal cage around you. Like an airplane, a pre-ride inspection and regular maintenance are essential to your safety. Your reward is freedom.

Pleasant riding, and thank you for choosing a Honda!

The Final Countdown

Posted by Silver

Tomorrow at this time I will probably be mounted. To say that my heart is beating out of my chest is to say nothing. The documents are all in place. Final technical maintenance is done. Tomorrow I will just withdraw all my cash and pay it out.

In the meantime, I need somebody to put me into a deep 15-hour hibernation.

Quest: Honda CBF500

Posted by Silver

I’m starting this blog as I am on the final frontier of completing my main motorcycling quest for the upcoming seasons – a brand new Honda CBF500 purchase!

Tomorrow is a decisive day as I am going to fetch some crucial loan-related documents from the bank. Since my loan is approved, it will only be a matter of days to possess the shiny machine, and it couldn’t come at a better time: the season is barely up!

So this blog will be my motorcycling home on the web, as I am planning to ride and blog a hell lot this season. There’ll be a lot of stuff, so subscribing now is a grand idea. Let’s make this season one hell of a ride!
